Tholos - Theologos

The resort of Theologos is situated on the Northwest side of the island of Rhodes. It is only 20kilometres from Rhodes town.

Tholos, sometimes called Theologos, is a magical combination of a colourful traditional village and a not bustling resort. In ancient times it was named Demos Istanion. There is a sprinkling of shops, tavernas, bars and restaurants around the hotels. Tholos has a beautiful beach. In the village, the traditional way of life is still widely practiced and the very friendly people give a warm welcome to everybody. Don't miss to visit the picturesque Agios Spiridonas church, with it's lovely white bell tower. The old centre of Tholos is built in traditional Rhodian style. With tall shuttered buildings and narrow streets, it is a delight to wander through.
